WATCH: Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Releases New Live Special

Conan O’Brien’s tenure in late night may be over, but make no mistake: Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is still going strong.

The fan-favorite Robert Smigel puppet from Late Night with Conan O’Brien has been forging ahead with solo projects for years — including a sitcom with Jack McBrayer, appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and most recently, a performance taped in January live at the San Francisco Sketchfest.

The live show brought back Triumph’s 2020 quiz show podcast Let’s Make a Poop with Triumph roasting a panel of celebs and leading them through a game of “Poopardy!”.

The full show dropped on YouTube this week. O’Brien has already boosted the special for his hound friend via Twitter/X, and there’s a lot to love here.

Among the highlights: Triumph sings fake Weird Al songs to Weird Al, spars with Rob Schneider over his political leanings, and skewers Adam Savage as Police Academy’s Michael Winslow provides sound effects. The special also includes a surprise appearance from another recent late night host.

And that’s just the tip of the insult comedy iceberg. The hour contains plenty of other fun stuff (…for you to poop on).
