The Daily Show’s guest lineup is prioritizing entertainment over politics this week.
Jon Stewart will welcome actor Paul Rudd to the show tonight. It’s rare that Stewart interviews a celebrity guest in his new capacity as a Monday-night-only host. However, he and Rudd go way back and have developed a strong rapport. In fact, Rudd has paid 17 visits to The Daily Show over the years—all of which came during Stewart’s initial run as host. His appearance tonight will be the first in nearly ten years. Rudd stars in the A24 horror comedy Death of a Unicorn, to be released Friday.
Correspondent Ronny Chieng will take over the show Tuesday through Thursday, and he’ll be interviewing some celebrated actors of his own. Wednesday will feature The Penguin Lessons actor Steve Coogan. On Thursday, actor and Saturday Night Live alum Bill Murray will guest, marking his first-ever visit to The Daily Show. Murray stars in the upcoming movie The Friend, due out in theaters the next day.
On Tuesday, Chieng will welcome the week’s only political guest, Boston mayor Michelle Wu. The Democratic mayor has made headlines in recent days for speaking out against President Donald Trump’s threats of deporting undocumented immigrants.
“No one tells Boston how to take care of our own, not kings, and not presidents who think they are kings. Boston was born facing down bullies,” Wu declared during her State of the City address last week.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. The show streams the next day on Paramount+.

Just a small nitpick; I almost missed this article because I follow the ‘The Daily Show’ tag, but this article is tagged with ‘Daily Show’ (the only one).
