Team Coco is digging into three decades of archives for a new show on Conan O’Brien Radio.
Comedian and former Conan writer Laurie Kilmartin host Stand-up on Conan with Laurie Kilmartin, a new SiriusXM program that revisits the comedians’ stand-up appearances on O’Brien’s shows.
Each episode will feature sets from eight comedians, pulled from either Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, or TBS’ Conan. For each of the sets, Kilmartin will discuss the material, behind-the-scenes stories, context of the time it aired, and her insights as a comedian.
“Conan put on more comedians than any other late night host of his generation,” Kilmartin noted in a social media announcement. “We have a library that spans 28 years.”
Kilmartin was a writer for O’Brien’s TBS show, on which she also performed her own standup. Her other writing crediits include The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.
The first episode, which debuted last Wednesday, features sets from Ray Romano, Zach Galifianakis, Wanda Sykes, Caroline Rhea, Norm Macdonald, Mike Birbiglia, Patrice O’Neal, and Tom Papa.
Stand-up on Conan with Laurie Kilmartin will air on SiriusXM’s Conan O’Brien Radio Wednesdays at 5pm and 8pm, with multiple rebroadcasts following throughout the week. It will also be available to stream on the SiriusXM app.
O’Brien sold his Team Coco podcast network to SiriusXM in 2022, in a deal that the Wall Street Journal reported was worth around $150 million.
While much of Conan O’Brien Radio consists of Team Coco’s existing podcasts and clips from O’Brien’s three late-night shows, SiriusXM has begun incorporating radio-first programs to the station, including The Conan and Jordan Show and The Andy Richter Call-In Show.
