SNL Cast Shares Backstage Diva Drama, ‘Jost Roasts’ During Hot Ones Spinoff Game—Watch

The Saturday Night Live gossip is as spicy as the chicken in the latest episode of Hot Ones: Wing Pong.

An offshoot of First We Feast’s Hot Ones interview series, the Wing Pong concept takes beer pong and tosses it in Hot Ones‘ flagship concept of wing challenges. Competing in teams of two, players try to lob ping-pong balls in the other team’s cups. Inside of each cup is a question and a wing with a mystery heat level. When a player sinks a shot, their opponent will have to choose between eating and answering. (The setup also includes a hidden “death cup.”)

Hot Ones: Wing Pong debuted November 12 and features Daily Show correspondents Josh Johnson and Jordan Klepper squaring off against Michael Kosta and Grace Kuhlenschmidt.

Episode 2, now available on YouTube (or watch above), pits SNL‘s Mikey Day and James Austin Johnson against “Chili Sisters” Chloe Fineman and Sarah Sherman.

In the video above, a question about SNL diva behavior leads Day to share a tale about a musical guest who had strong opinions about his lighting. A later question challenges Day and Johnson to serve up their best roasts of “Weekend Update” co-anchor Colin Jost. (Suffice to say, Sherman proves to be a font of advice.)

Other “hot” moments include a discussion about SNL boss Lorne Michaels’ favorite cast member; Fineman stating whose face she’d rather punch than sit on; and Sherman inexplicably eating a wing out of the trash can.

NBC’s SNL continues Season 51 this weekend with its next-to-last episode of 2025, featuring first-time host Josh O’Connor (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery) and musical guest Lily Allen.
