Seth Meyers to Headline ATX Television Festival

Late Night with Seth Meyers is taking center stage at this year’s ATX Television Festival, with Seth Meyers set to give festival goers an inside look at his late-night show.

The showcase, billed “Late Nights, Day Drinking, and Closer Looks with Seth Meyers” is scheduled as the festival’s “Opening Night Marquee” event. Per a description, Meyers will discuss “recurring segments that have shaped the series, his approach to political satire, and the joys of creating comedy for late night TV.”

Late Night with Seth Meyers is currently in its eleventh year on the air, but this will be Meyers’ first time at ATX. The event is being billed as a presentation of NBCUniversal.

ATX is also getting a second shot of late-night with another just-announced event, “A Late Night Show with Greg Iwinski.” Last Week Tonight writer Greg Iwinski will host a live late-night-style show featuring “a team of veteran late night writer-performers” and still-to-be-announced “guests, music, and a few surprises.” The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon writer Jim Fagan will join Iwinski as sidekick and announcer for the program.

Last year’s festival included a “Future of Late-Night Comedy” discussion, which saw a panel comprised of three late-night writers: Iwinski, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee’s Ashley Nicole Black, and Late Night with Seth Meyers’ Sal Gentile.

The ATX Television Festival runs May 29 through June 1 in Austin, Texas. Badges and tickets are available now via the ATX site.
