Jimmy Fallon continued to trail Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s summer guest hosts last week, losing some of the ground he gained in the previous week’s close 11:35 race.
According to Nielsen Live+3 ratings for the week of July 19, 2026, JKL averaged 1.574 million total viewers and 203,000 adults 18–49 during Colman Domingo’s turn behind the desk. NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon averaged 1.420 million viewers and 168,000 in the demo.
That widened the gap between the two shows from 123,000 to 154,000 total viewers and from just 3,000 to 35,000 adults 18–49. Jimmy Kimmel Live! was flat among total viewers but rose 23 percent in the demo compared to the previous week’s episodes hosted by Ike Barinholtz, while The Tonight Show slipped 2 percent overall and gained 4 percent among adults 18–49.
Even with its week-over-week demo gain, Jimmy Kimmel Live! remained well below the total-viewer and demo averages it typically delivers with Jimmy Kimmel behind the desk. Domingo hosted four original episodes, with guests including Jacob Elordi, Jaafar Jackson, Marlon Wayans, Arsenio Hall, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Kerri Kenney-Silver; Friday’s show was a repeat.
Fallon also aired four originals and one repeat. Continuing the show’s promotional rollout for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, the week featured appearances by Travis Scott, John Leguizamo, and Nolan himself, along with Kevin Hart, Shania Twain, and DJ Khaled.
At 12:37 a.m., ABC’s Nightline posted the largest demo gain among the broadcast programs we track, rising 49 percent to 113,000 adults 18–49. The newsmagazine also gained 14 percent in total viewers, averaging 885,000 across five original broadcasts.
NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers averaged 924,000 total viewers, essentially flat from the previous week, and 97,000 adults 18–49, down 2 percent. Meyers aired four original episodes and one repeat, narrowly finishing ahead of Nightline in total viewers but behind it in the demo.
On CBS, all four half-hours of the network’s Byron Allen-produced late-night block remained in repeats. Averaging its two telecasts, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen drew approximately 596,000 total viewers and 62,000 adults 18–49 across the 11:35 p.m. hour.
The show’s first half-hour averaged 694,000 total viewers (–15 percent week-over-week) and 75,000 adults 18–49 (–16 percent), while its second half-hour averaged 497,000 viewers (–10 percent) and 48,000 adults 18–49 (–4 percent).
Funny You Should Ask averaged approximately 400,000 total viewers and 45,000 adults 18–49 across its two half-hours. Its 12:35 a.m. telecast drew 428,000 viewers (–14 percent) and 47,000 adults 18–49 (–16 percent), while the 1:05 a.m. half-hour averaged 371,000 viewers (–16 percent) and 42,000 adults 18–49 (–14 percent).
The finale of FIFA World Cup on FOX After Hours with James Corden drew 776,000 total viewers, up 53 percent, and 157,000 adults 18–49, up 39 percent. The comparison comes with an important caveat: this week’s average reflects only the Sunday, July 19 finale, while the previous week’s figure included three episodes.
Switching to cable, Fox News’ Gutfeld! averaged 2.943 million total viewers, up 4 percent, and 161,000 adults 18–49, down 8 percent. The show aired four original episodes, with its Friday edition preempted by live coverage of the White House Correspondents Dinner.
On Comedy Central, The Daily Show averaged 1.118 million total viewers (+10 percent) and 210,000 adults 18–49 (+13 percent) across four original episodes.
And Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live averaged 425,000 total viewers (+15 percent) and 118,000 adults 18–49 (+25 percent) across five first-run episodes. Those gains came with a scheduling wrinkle: the average included Tuesday’s 8 p.m. In the City reunion, which boosted the show’s weekly numbers beyond its usual late-night performance.
