U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi appears to be taking Saturday Night Live’s parody in stride.
“@Sec_Noem, should we recreate this picture in Chicago?” Bondi posted on X Sunday morning, sharing a still of Amy Poehler’s impression of her beside Tina Fey’s Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.
“Loving Amy Poehler!” she added.
The post followed a cold open that spoofed Bondi’s real-life testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week. Poehler, who hosted the episode, portrayed Bondi brushing off senators’ questions with biting one-liners and personal digs. “My name is Pam Bondi,” she declared. “I spell it with an I because I ain’t going to answer any of your questions.”
As lawmakers pressed her on President Trump’s directives and the DOJ’s ongoing investigations, Poehler’s Bondi fired back with roast-style zingers, including, “Senator Blumenthal, look at this honky. Even people in Connecticut go, damn, that guy is white as hell,” and “Amy Klobuchar, your ass out here sounding like a Pokémon.”

The sketch escalated when Fey made a surprise entrance as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, declaring herself “the rarest type of person in Washington—a brunette that Donald Trump listens to.” Fey’s Noem delivered a mock I.C.E. recruitment ad promising jobs for “big, tough guys” who “buy supplements at the gas station” and “use zip ties because people in your life don’t trust you with keys.”
If Bondi was offended, she didn’t show it. Her lighthearted response stood in contrast to the White House’s reaction to SNL’s skewering of Trump the previous week. “Reacting to this would require me to waste my time watching it,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told Entertainment Weekly, adding, “I have more entertaining things to do — like watch paint dry.”
Bondi, it seems, preferred to laugh along.
Glad someone in this damn administration seems to have some sense of humor left in them! Glad she enjoyed her getting spoofed on SNL.
