First on LateNighter: Olivia Rodrigo’s new album rollout is bringing her back to Jimmy Kimmel Live!—twice.
The pop star is set to appear on the ABC late-night show two nights back-to-back next week, first as both a couch guest and musical performer on Wednesday, June 10, and then returning for a second performance on Thursday, June 11.
The appearances will mark Rodrigo’s third and fourth official guest visits with Jimmy Kimmel since making her debut on the show in 2021. She’s also become a reliable participant in the show’s comedy universe, surprising Kimmel’s kids for a morning ride-along to school in 2023, then teaming up with Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez on Halloween a year later to mess with unsuspecting trick-or-treaters.
The Kimmel-Rodrigo connection got another boost just last month at Disney’s upfront presentation, where Rodrigo invited Kimmel’s 11-year-old daughter Jane—whom Kimmel has described as an Olivia Rodrigo superfan—to join her onstage for a performance of “get him back!” Footage of the moment was later shared on social media.
Rodrigo’s two-night Kimmel booking comes directly ahead of the release of her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which arrives Friday, June 12. The album follows 2021’s SOUR and 2023’s GUTS, both of which helped turn Rodrigo from Disney star into one of pop’s biggest cross-platform stars.
