Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Georgia Republican who’s long been targeted by late-night comedians, will take a seat at the table on Real Time with Bill Maher this Friday, marking her first in-studio appearance on a late-night talk show.
The booking comes at a politically volatile moment—one that finds Greene increasingly at odds with her own party. In recent weeks, she’s criticized Republican leadership for failing to deliver an affordable healthcare plan during the government shutdown, condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, and called for the release of the Epstein files. She’s also expressed frustration with House Speaker Mike Johnson’s handling of the shutdown.
Those breaks have not gone unnoticed by fellow Republicans. Senator Ted Cruz recently urged voters to “disregard” Greene’s criticisms, calling her “very liberal.” Speaker Johnson and Senator Bernie Moreno have also publicly dismissed her recent positions.
Greene has not been spared by Maher in the past. The host devoted an entire Real Time segment to her in 2022, “24 Things You Don’t Know About Marjorie Taylor Greene,” mocking her conspiratorial claims and tabloid notoriety. “I have three kids—two in high school and one who was murdered by Hillary Clinton,” Maher joked at the time, along with a string of punchlines about her incendiary rhetoric.
Bringing Greene into the studio now signals Maher’s continued interest in hosting polarizing political figures face-to-face—a dynamic he’s often said produces his sharpest debates. Whether the congresswoman, once dismissed as a late-night caricature, can reshape that image in real time remains to be seen.
This week’s Real Time will also feature a one-on-one interview with Dan Farah, writer and director of the new documentary The Age of Disclosure. Joining Greene on the panel with be The Fifth Column co-host Michael Moynihan, who also hosts The Moynihan Report. The episode airs Friday, October 31 (10:00–11:00 p.m.) on HBO and will reair on CNN the following night.

Another reason not to watch Bunghole Bill Maher! Would it shock anyone if that fucking incel tried to make a pass at Mad Marge and they have sex together?
Bill needs to give Senator Jon Osoff equal time. MTG is trying to get national recognition so she can challenge him for his senate seat. She almost looked normal on your show. People who don’t know how nuts she is may think she’s ok. I’m disappointed you gave her the air time. Put on Jon Osoff please, but closer to the election next November 2026, as it may be a close one!!
He’s adamant in his beliefs, from being a toxic narcissist, that his way of reaching out to the MAGA side and help them out is the ONLY way Democrats will have success! Not understanding, much less caring, that the root of MAGA is their full embrace and acceptance of their racist, sexist, homophobic, anti Semitic, Islamophobic hate!
Bunghole Bill Maher lives inside his own ass! That’s why he’s been losing his fanbase that he cultivated for decades! They’ve had it with his smug, obnoxious know-it-all attitude!
