Late Night TV Ratings: Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024

Note: LateNighter generally posts late night ratings on a two (business) day delay, which is how they are released by Nielsen.

CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert continues to lead all of late-night in multiple audience measurements. The program won its 11:35 p.m. timeslot on Wednesday, Feb. 14 in both Total Viewers (1.893 million) and P18-49 (203,000). That’s according to live plus same day data from Nielsen.

That said, Colbert’s post-Super Bowl ratings glow appears to be fading. Wednesday’s broadcast of The Late Show dropped -19% in Total Viewers and -37% in P18-49 viewers relative to Tuesday’s broadcast.

Following The Late Show, CBS’ After Midnight won the key P18-49 demo at 12:37 a.m. Hosted by Taylor Tomlinson, the CBS offering beat its NBC and ABC competition by a healthy margin in the measurement on Wednesday, and didn’t lose quite as much of its lead-in as it had in recent nights. That said, similar to The Late Show, After Midnight lost a chunk of its audience from the night before, and came in third at 12:37 a.m. in Total Viewers behind NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers and ABC’s Nightline.

Nightline’s first place finish on Wednesday in Total Viewers was driven by its coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade shooting that took place earlier in the day.
