Seth Meyers is taking an extended holiday break.
As other late-night hosts get back to work this week, Late Night with Seth Meyers will be airing reruns. Meyers will be the only in-season show taking the week off.
While The Daily Show, Colbert, and Kimmel all took days off last week, Late Night aired new episodes, including Meyers’ annual family Thanksgiving episode. The tradition of having his family members as the main guests on Thanksgiving goes all the way back to the show’s first season in 2014.
Not to worry, though. Late-night fans will still have plenty to chew on this week, with Meyers’ NBC counterpart, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (which also produced a full week of shows last week) back with more tonight. CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is also set to return with fresh episodes, as will ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.
Meyers produces fewer episodes of Late Night than any of the other late-night network shows, taping 140 episodes last season. (Fallon produced 162 episodes, Kimmel 154 (including guest hosts), and Colbert 153.) The Late Night host also tours the country performing standup, and hosts a podcast with his brother Josh (Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers) and another podcast with The Lonely Island, The Lonely Island & Seth Meyers Podcast.
Last year, he signed a new contract extension with NBC that will keep him behind the Late Night desk through at least 2028. His production company, Sethmaker Shoemeyers, has also extended its contract.
New episodes of Late Night resume on Monday, Dec. 8.

Good to know what a steady family guy Seth is besides his public clever, intelligent , funny focus on a bizarre government.
