Late Night Rivals Salute Jimmy Fallon on His 50th Birthday

Strike Force Five (re) activate! Jimmy Fallon turns 50 years old today—and his fellow late-night hosts are helping to spread the good cheer.

Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the fun on Instagram this morning with a carousel of him and the Tonight Show host. “Happy 50th to my dear friend @JimmyFallon,” wrote the fellow Jimmy. “Please send birthday wishes to him, not me. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Andy Cohen gave the birthday boy an Instagram shoutout as well, posting a series of sweet and silly photos of the pair from over the years. “Happy 50th birthday JimJam!!!!!” he wrote. “Feel very lucky to count you as a pal – your energy, creativity , and commitment to FUN are unparalleled! The world is better with @jimmyfallon in it!” Fallon’s pal Elmo even chimed in, commenting, “Besties!!”

Stephen Colbert also shared birthday greetings. “Happy half-a-century to a brotha from anotha network, @jimmyfallon!” he captioned a photo of the two of them.

This isn’t the first time the Strike Force Five has celebrated a landmark birthday. Earlier this year, the group surprised Colbert in person to mark The Late Show host’s 60th birthday.

Fallon clearly felt all the love and appreciation from fans and late-night rivals alike. “I just want to say thank you for giving me this great life,” he wrote on Twitter/X. “I’m very lucky. I appreciate the applause, laughter, and support, whether it be at one of my shows, walking down the street, at a basketball game in France, or even stranded and lost in a Bavarian field. I feel the love, and I love you back. Thank you for always supporting any new idea I have. You believing in me makes me believe in me.”

The Tonight Show host is celebrating his special day by donating to “three amazing food organizations”: Feeding America, Long Island Cares, and Bridgehampton Food Pantry. He also included links to each organization in his post, inviting fans to join him in giving to a good cause.

“I am sending my birthday wish to you all for a great year to come,” he added. “Thank you. #FallonIs50”
