The voices behind Netflix’s blockbuster KPop Demon Hunters just made a surprise live-action appearance, with Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—the artists who lend their singing and rapping talents to the demon-slaying girl group HUNTR/X—popping up at the end of a sketch in tonight’s Saturday Night Live season premiere.
The sketch featured host Bad Bunny as a grown man obsessed with KPop Demon Hunters, only to be confronted by Jinu, leader of the movie’s demon boy band Saja Boys—played by SNL cast member Bowen Yang. Just as chaos breaks out, the HUNTR/X singers appear to save the day, defeating Yang’s Jinu through song.

While the trio previously appeared together at last month’s MTV Video Music Awards, their SNL cameo marked the first time they’ve performed together in public—a prelude to their upcoming official live debut, also at 30 Rock: the three are set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Tuesday, performing their smash single “Golden” and joining Fallon for their first late-night interview.
KPop Demon Hunters has become a global phenomenon since premiering on Netflix, racking up over 325 million views and holding steady on the streamer’s Top 10 list for 14 consecutive weeks.
Its soundtrack debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Soundtrack chart and remains the year’s biggest seller. The film’s breakout hit “Golden” made history as the first female K-pop single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed for six weeks, while also topping the Billboard Global 200 for ten.
