Jordan Klepper and Desi Lydic to Share The Daily Show Desk Tues and Wed This Week

After a much-deserved week off, The Daily Show is back with all new episodes the first half of the week. While Jon Stewart will resume his regular Monday night hosting gig, Jordan Klepper and Desi Lydic will team up to co-host on Tuesday and Wednesday.

While Klepper and Lydic regularly pair up on the show—like back in February, when they memorably attempted to solve the border crisis—this marks their first official co-hosting appearance since Stewart returned to the series in February. Prior to that, Klepper and Lydic last shared the anchor desk for a single episode on November 22, 2023.

This week marks Klepper’s sixth time as host in 2024, including a previous shared week with Ronny Chieng; it’s Lydic’s sixth time at bat as well, and her third time as a co-host (she hosted alongside Michael Kosta in March and Chieng in June).

On Tuesday, The Daily Show will welcome back one of its own when Aasif Mandvi drops by to promote Season 4 of his series Evil. Previously, Mandvi was a Daily Show correspondent from 2006 to 2017. Things will take a more political turn on Wednesday, when Elizabeth Dias and Lisa Lerer—New York Times reporters and co-authors of The Fall of Roe—join Lydic and Klepper to talk about their new book.

On Monday, Stewart—who may still be reeling from his live post-debate show on Thursday, June 27—will chat with journalist/author A.J. Jacobs about his new book, The Year of Living Constitutionally: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Constitution’s Original Meaning.

The Daily Show will be dark on Thursday, presumably so that “The Best F**king News Team” can prep for their journey to Milwaukee, where they’ll be on the ground next week covering the Republican National Convention. Episodes will be broadcast from the Marcus Performing Arts Center, with Stewart hosting another live show next Thursday, June 18.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. CT on Comedy Central.
