Jon Stewart to Tackle ‘The Broligarchy’ on Tonight’s Daily Show

The Daily Show is back in the saddle with the “Best F**king News Team” returning to Comedy Central tonight after taking last week off.

Kicking thing off, Jon Stewart returns to the Daily Show desk tonight with a conversation with British author and investigative journalist Carole Cadwalladr, who has written extensively about tech moguls like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg on her Substack, “How to Survive the Broligarchy.” Her recent Ted Talk, titled “This Is What a Digital Coup Looks Like,” has amassed 1.4 million views on YouTube and counting.

Senior Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta will then take the desk Tuesday through Thursday, interviewing a quartet of authors.  It will be Kosta’s first week behind the desk in two months. (He last hosted the show the week of March 31st.)

Kosta’s guest Tuesday will be WNBA legend Candace Parker, who is promoting her first-ever book, The Can-Do Mindset, which arrives in book stores the same day.

On Wednesday Kosta will welcome law professor and author of the new book Lawless, in which she argues that the Supreme Court is no longer practicing law; it’s running on “conservative grievance, fringe theories, and bad vibes.”

Thursday will see Kosta sit down with historian Jonathan D. Cohen, who will be discussing his book Losing Big: America’s Reckless Bet on Sports Gambling, about the rise and risks of America’s multibillion-dollar sports gambling boom.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+
