Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Tonight, Jordan Klepper Hosts Tues-Thurs

Jon Stewart will be back behind The Daily Show anchor desk tonight, with the show’s regular Monday night host set to interview Rt. Hon. Dame Jacinda Ardern, the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand, now a senior fellow at Harvard University and author of the new books A Different Kind of Power and Mom’s Busy Work.

It will be Stewart’s second episode in a row after he took the desk for an unsual Thursday night episode last week that was produced in reaction to Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension at ABC. Dubbed the “Government-Approved’ Daily Show,” Thursday night’s episode opened with Stewart delivering a full 22-minute monologue in character as a “patriotically obedient host.”

This week’s Tuesday through Thursday Daily Show host will be Jordan Klepper, marking his first week guest hosting since mid-July.

Klepper’s guests are set to include actor, comedian, and author John Fugelsang on Tuesday (promoting his book Separation of Church and Hate); Swedish rock band Viagra Boys on Wednesday (interview and performance, promoting their new album Viagr Aboys); and actor Regina Hall on Thursday (promoting her film One Battle After Another).
