Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Desk Tonight; Ronny Chieng Hosts Tues-Thurs

Much of late night may be off for spring break, but it’s another full week for the “Best F**king News Team,” as  The Daily Show returns to Comedy Central tonight for a week of new episodes.

Tonight, Jon Stewart—who’s back at the Daily Show desk for his usual Mondays-only gig—will kick things off with a conversation with comedian and actor Ramy Youssef, the creator and star of the new animated series #1 Happy Family USA, which premieres this Thursday on Amazon Prime.

From there, TDS correspondent Ronny Chieng  will take the reins, hosting Tuesday through Thursday.

Chieng’s guests are set to include comedian and writer Nimesh Patel on Tuesday and Democratic Senator Sen. Tammy Duckworth of Illinois on Wednesday. Trailblazing Chinese-American actor Nancy Kwan, will close out the week on Thursday with a conversation about her new memoir, The World of Nancy Kwan.

This week will mark the third week that Chieng has hosted since The Daily Show since the 2025 season began in January. As we recently reported, Chieng became an American citizen on the Thursday of his most recent hosting gig in late March. Though it was not revealed on air that night, the show later released a behind the scenes clip where Chieng’s guest that night shared Chieng’s news with the show’s studio audience

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m, ET/PT on Comedy Central, and is available to stream next day on Paramount+.
