Jon Stewart Returns to Daily Show Tonight, Jordan Klepper Hosts Tues-Thurs

Jon Stewart will be back behind The Daily Show anchor desk tonight, with the show’s regular Monday night host set to interview New Yorker editor David Remnick about the magazine’s 100th anniversary issue.

This week’s Tuesday through Thursday host will be Jordan Klepper. Klepper’s guests will include actors Jesse Eisenberg (A Real Pain) and Colman Domingo (Sing Sing) on Tuesday and Wednesday, and writer/director Brady Corbet (The Brutalist) on Thursday.

It was a year ago this week that Jon Stewart returned to The Daily Show for what was originally intended a short-term stint through the election. Comedy Central announced late last year that Stewart would be sticking around through at least the end of 2025.

Stewart’s return to the series in 2024 helped propel the show to ratings heights not seen since his departure in 2015, with The Daily Show growing its average nightly audience by a whopping 82% year-over-year.

Klepper began his own initial stint at The Daily Show in 2014 when Stewart was still host, and stayed on through the early part of Trevor Noah’s run at the show, leaving in 2017 to host his own satirical news show The Opposition with Jordan Klepper. He returned to The Daily Show as a contributor in 2019 and has hosted several Fingers the Pulse specials in which he’s embedded himself in the MAGA movement.
