Jon Stewart Back at Daily Show Desk Tonight, Ronny Chieng Hosts Tues-Thurs

It may be Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but it’s also Inauguration Day and if you thought the “Best F**king News Team” was about to sleep on the kick-off of Donald Trump‘s second term in office… well, think again.

Jon Stewart will be back at the The Daily Show desk tonight, while Ronny Chieng will be steering the ship Tuesday through Thursday of this week.

Stewart’s guest tonight will be professor and author Brooke Harrington, whose book Offshore: Stealth Wealth and the New Colonialism looks at the secretive system of offshore finance and its corrisive effects on democracy, capitalism, and the environment.

Chieng will pick things up on Tuesday, when he welcomes actor and Academy Award nominee for Everything Everywhere All at Once Stephanie Hsu. Hsu stars in the TV sex comedy Laid, which premiered on Peacock in December.

On Wednesday, Chieng’s guest will be hip hop artist Talib Kweli, whose latest album The Confidence of Knowing dropped in September. Thursday night is set to see a Daily Show homecoming, as former TDS correspondent Al Madrigal returns to the show’s midtown west studio to promote his role on the NBC comedy Lopez vs Lopez.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. The show streams the next day on Paramount+.
