John Oliver, Seth Meyers Extend Monthly Residency at NYC’s Beacon Theatre

After selling out seventeen shows to date, Seth Meyers and John Oliver are extending their dual residency at New York’s Beacon Theatre through the end of 2025.

In addition to two already-scheduled shows (one later this month and another in May), the two late-night hosts will return for five new shows on July 27, September 21, October 26, November 23, and December 14.

Oliver and Meyers first performed together at the Beacon during the 2023 Writers’ Strike. It was several months later, in January 2024, that they began their residency at the storied Manhattan venue

The shows see each comic perform a 45-50 minute standup set, and then return to the stage together to take questions from the audience.

Though both comics have full-time jobs in late night, they each carve out time to perform standup. Oliver has won much acclaim (and every Emmy in sight) for Last Week Tonight, but in a recent 60 Minutes profile, he called the standup stage his “favorite place to be.”

For his part, Meyers has said he appreciates the different kind of muscle that goes into writing a standup set versus preparing a nightly monologue that usually takes its cues from the day’s news. With standup, he says “the goal is for it to have a little bit more permanence than late night has. You are trying to find universal themes and ideas that are really funny.”

Tickets for the duo’s new shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 11 at 10am ET with a Live Nation presale starting Thursday at 10am ET (use the password SOCIAL).
