As longtime Jimmy Kimmel viewers well know, pranks are his love language. Which is to say that if Jimmy Kimmel takes the time to plan a prank on you, you know he loves you. Just ask his Aunt Chippy, his cousin Micki, or his security guard/sidekick Guillermo.
Which is why his take on a viral clip that shows a group of pallbearers falling into an open grave along with coffin they’re holding is so very Jimmy. (And so very funny.)
After playing the clip shot at a North Philadelphia cemetary last week, Kimmel explained, “The reason I wanted to show that is because that’s how I want to go. That’s what I want at my funeral—I want all my friends to fall in there with me.”
Kimmel then turned to Guillermo and asked, “You got that, Guillermo?”
“I promise you that, yes, Guillermo pledged.

As for the incident that precipitated Kimmel’s rejoinder, WPVI reports that all of the men who had been carrying the coffin are expected to be OK, although each suffered injuries from falling into the six-foot hole. The deceased’s son was worst hit, apparently losing consciousness.
“The casket laid on top of him, and he was out like a light. His face was in the mud,” his stepsister Maribelle Rodriguez told the local news station. “They all got injured. They got hand and leg and back injuries. We were just covered in mud.”
