With just a week to go ahead of The 96th Academy Awards, Jimmy Kimmel is taking a break–from his show, that is.
The late-night host, who’s set to emcee the Oscars for the fourth time on Sunday March 10th, will be taking next week to finalize plans for the gig.
Together with his team, Kimmel has been preparing for the awards show for some time now. In an interview conducted three weeks ago with the Los Angeles Times, he described falling asleep at his keyboard earlier that week attempting to juggle work on his own show while rewriting pitch ideas for the Oscars.
Kimmel won’t get much time to recoup after the awards. He’s scheduled to return to Jimmy Kimmel Live! the day after, Monday March 11th, for two straight weeks of shows.
