Jimmy Kimmel is taking a break this week—from his show, that is. He’s still got work to do.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be airing repeats all week as its host travels to New York, where he’s scheduled to deliver his annual mini-roast of the industry at Disney’s upfronts presentation at the Javits Center Tuesday.
Kimmel will be back in the studio next Monday, May 19th, with a week of new shows.
As summer nears, we’ll likely continue to see less of Kimmel. The longest-tenured late-night host has been handing his show over to guest hosts through the months of July and August since 2020. There’s no official word on when his break might begin this summer, but it began last year on June 23rd. (The show is currently scheduled to produce six weeks of new episodes after its return next Monday.)
The other late-night hosts are all reporting to work this week, with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Daily Show, Watch What Happens Live!, and After Midnight producing new episodes.
Saturday Night Live will be busy this week, too, as the show prepares for its Season 50 finale with host Scarlett Johansson and musical guest Bad Bunny this coming Saturday, May 19th.
