Jimmy Fallon’s Special Delivery For Late Night’s Newest Jimmy

Whether or not the 10pm hour on Fox News should be considered a late-night show is a matter of some debate at the broadcast networks, but apparently that didn’t stop NBC’s Jimmy Fallon from welcoming Fox News Saturday Night host Jimmy Failla to the late-night fold.

As Failla reveals in a new a new Variety profile, Fallon sent him a letter congratulating him on being named host of the show back in January, alongside a cooler filled with Fallon’s signature Ben & Jerry’s “Tonight Dough” ice cream flavor.

The gift from Fallon was a full-circle moment of sorts for Failla. He met his wife while on the road performing standup, but apparently she first went to his show thinking she was seeing a Jimmy Fallon show. (The two hosts do share very similar names.)

Failla tells Variety that he’d love for Fallon to guest on his show.

Fox News Saturday Night was launched in June of last year, led by a series of guest hosts. Failla, who had been in the host rotation, was named permanent host of the program in January.

Failla also hosts the weekday radio program Fox Across America. In January, he dropped a comedy special, “Jimmy Failla: They’re Just Jokes,” on the Fox Nation streaming service.

Fox News Saturday Night with Jimmy Failla airs Saturdays at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Fox News Channel.
