BTS fans are in for a treat next week.
Jimin, a South Korean singer, dancer, and member of the hugely popular K-Pop boy band BTS, will guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Monday, July 22 for a special performance of his song “Who.”
This morning, The Tonight Show teased Jimin’s upcoming appearance on the show with a fun video. The announcement shows Fallon staring at his laptop screen, entranced by “Who.” When the late-night host suddenly hears a strange noise, he goes to investigate and discovers a light-up “Jimin” sign on his bookshelf producing electric sparks. “Jimin!” Fallon calls out.
Of course, this is hardly the first time BTS has appeared on The Tonight Show, nor is it the first time Jimin has solo guested. The band first made their debut on the show in September 2018, performing songs “Idol” and “I’m Fine;” they also chatted with Fallon and took on the Fortnite dance challenge.
When Fallon and the boys reunited in February 2020, they took over New York City and dined at Katz’s Deli. BTS made two more virtual appearances in September and October 2020, then doled out a memorable Tonight Show takeover in July 2021.
Jimin solo guested in March 2023, performing his song “Like Crazy” and sitting down to chat with Fallon—who claims to be a “superfan” of the singer—about a variety of topics, including the singer’s visit with President Biden. His BTS bandmate, Suga, also solo guested on the show in May 2023.
Fans of BTS can catch Jimin’s latest Tonight Show performance at 11:35 p.m. ET on Monday.
