Jimmy Fallon’s Password Will Pull Double Duty on NBC This Summer

Jimmy Fallon is headed back to primetime next week with a new season of Password—and NBC is giving the show more than just a single summer berth.

Season 3 of the Keke Palmer-hosted game show, which Fallon executive produces and appears on as its resident celebrity player, premieres Tuesday, June 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with Anthony Anderson guesting on the opener. Ariana Madix will appear in the June 9 episode, with upcoming celebrity guests set to include Alan Cumming, Tiffany Haddish, Connie Britton, Josh Hart, Ice-T, Wayne Brady, Karamo Brown, Constance Wu, Darren Criss, The Miz, Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, and Savannah Guthrie.

Beginning in mid-June, Password will give Fallon a two-hour weekly presence across NBC’s summer primetime schedule most weeks, with new episodes airing Tuesdays at 10 p.m. and repeats continuing Sundays at 10 p.m.

NBC began using that Sunday slot for Password encores in early May, airing repeats from the show’s second season. Starting June 14, the slot becomes a companion window for the returning third season, giving the show a regular second home on the network through much of the summer. Its Season 3 finale is currently set for September 8.

The show’s expanded summer footprint comes just weeks after NBC canceled Fallon’s reality competition On Brand with Jimmy Fallon after one season. That series, which placed Fallon at the head of a mock ad agency alongside Bozoma Saint John, struggled to hold its audience, sliding from just over 2 million viewers for its premiere to 1.46 million for its finale.

Password has been a durable performer since its 2022 launch, with the show’s second season reaching more than 32 million viewers across linear and Peacock, according to NBC.

As we’ve reported, NBC is staying in the Fallon game-show business beyond this summer. The network recently ordered Wordle, a primetime adaptation of the New York Times Games puzzle, with Savannah Guthrie set to host and Fallon executive producing through his Electric Hot Dog shingle. Production on that series is expected to begin this summer ahead of a planned 2027 launch.

Guthrie, notably, is also among the upcoming guests on Password’s new season, which was taped last August during The Tonight Show’s summer hiatus.
