Jimmy Fallon will return to NBC’s primetime lineup this summer when Password, the classic game show he revived for the network, premieres its third season Tuesday, June 2.
Hosted by Keke Palmer and featuring Fallon as the show’s permanent celebrity contestant, the reboot has become a semi-regular fixture on NBC’s summer schedule. The network previously aired seasons in 2022 and 2024.
A new group of contestants will compete for the chance to win a $25,000 bonus prize by successfully guessing secret words alongside celebrity partners. NBC has not yet announced which stars will appear opposite Fallon this season. Past panelists have included Jon Hamm, Chance the Rapper, Laverne Cox, Roy Wood Jr., and Jimmy Kimmel.
The upcoming season was taped last August during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s summer hiatus.
Password has been a solid performer for NBC. The network says the most recent season reached more than 32 million viewers across linear broadcasts and Peacock streaming. The series also earned two nominations at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Game Show and netted Palmer an Emmy win for Outstanding Host in 2023.
“We couldn’t be more excited to return to Password,” Fallon and Palmer said when the show’s third season was first announced last year. “It’s the only show where you get to lock eyes with a total stranger and think, ‘OK, based on absolutely nothing, we’re going to bet that you understand that when one of us says ‘fluffy,’ we mean ‘pillow.’ We love working with each other so much and are taking it to another level this season with bigger guests, wilder guesses and guaranteed laughs.”
The show is one of several primetime formats Fallon has launched alongside his late-night duties. NBC has also aired two seasons of his music game show That’s My Jam, and most recently the reality competition series On Brand.
Password is produced by Fremantle in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio and Electric Hot Dog. Fallon executive produces alongside John Quinn and showrunner Jeffrey Breeden.
