Jimmy Fallon Releases His Own Holiday Yule Log Video

Jimmy Fallon‘s holiday season promotional train keeps on chugging.

The Tonight Show host dropped a yule log video promoting his Holiday Seasoning album Tuesday, just in time for fans to cozy up by his virtual fire this Thanksgiving. Or, for those who are hardcore about their Thanksgiving season/Christmas dividing line, something to play at the stroke of 12 a.m. going into Black Friday.

It’s appropriate timing for the release, despite one non-Christmas holiday being in the way. The album features the all-too-rare Thanksgiving song: “Thanksgiving Eve.”

The hour and seventeen-minute yule log video offers you some visuals to accompany the chill sounds of Fallon celebrating the holidays in song, with celebrity guests ranging from Justin Timberlake to Will Ferrell. The video features a cup of cocoa stuffed with mini-marshmallows in the foreground, while the background features a Christmas tree and holiday wreath covered in lights, alongside the titular log.

Fallon makes cameos throughout the video, walking through in soft focus—though his antics repeat frequently, so we wouldn’t suggest paying attention too closely. The host’s background bits include Fallon getting tangled up in wrapping paper and bows, playing his ukulele, rocking out with an ornament, and gesturing you to come open presents with him.

Fallon dropped his Holiday Seasoning album at the beginning of November, building on successful Christmas singles from the past few years. That includes 2023’s “Wrap Me Up” duet with Meghan Trainor, 2022’s “Almost Too Early for Christmas” with Dolly Parton, and 2021’s pandemic-era “It Was a… (Masked Christmas)” featuring Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion.

The yule log video makes use of the same setup as the lyric videos he released for the album earlier in the month, but it’s now conveniently packaged together for ease as you set it and forget it while Fallon’s pop holiday tracks carry you through the season.

And even once Christmas is over, the late-night star thought ahead and included a New Year’s Eve polka with “Weird Al” Yankovic—so Fallon probably wouldn’t mind you keeping this video on for an extra week, too.

You can watch the full Holiday Seasoning yule log, featuring the entire album’s playlist, in the video at the top of this story. His Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Seasoning Spectacular special is set to air on NBC on Dec. 4, streaming on Peacock the next day.
