It’s Official: Taylor Swift to Visit Fallon’s Tonight Show Oct. 6

NBC has confirmed that Taylor Swift will appear for a sit-down interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 6.

Her visit to the show will come just three days after the release of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl. The timing mirrors her last Tonight Show appearance in 2022, which also arrived three days after the release of Midnights.

Swift’s October 6 spot will mark her seventh appearance on Fallon’s Tonight Show (she also appeared once when he hosted Late Night).

Fallon hinted at the booking earlier Thursday in a cryptic teaser video filled with Swift-coded clues, from roulette bets to burlesque-costumed showgirls.

Though Swift has logged appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers (two visits, in 2014 and 2021) The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (once, in 2021) and Jimmy Kimmel Live! (five times, between 2008-2020), Fallon appears to have become the superstar’s go-to in recent years as the two have built a strong on-air rapport.

Among their more memorable visits, Fallon blindsided her in 2019 with post-surgery footage her mother secretly supplied. In 2021, she previewed what became her record-breaking Eras Tour in an interview. And in one of Fallon’s most moving episodes, she performed “New Year’s Day” in 2017 after the passing of his mother—a moment still considered among the show’s most emotional.
