The Gutfeld! faithful were ready for blastoff after learning that Fox News Channel’s nightly panel show was being pre-empted this Friday, due to ongoing coverage of the Artemis II mission’s completion.
“Gutfeld! will not air tonight due to continuing coverage of Artemis II’s return to Earth,” the program’s official X account announced Friday evening, just 30 minutes ahead of its usual start time.
The un-scheduling prompted immediate pushback from fans.
“What, again?” one fan replied on X, presumably alluding to a Gutfeld! taping being outright scrapped last month due to the onset of the combat operation in Iran. “I’d rather watch Gutfeld than the continuing [Artemis II] coverage.”
“We have seen all we need to this week of Artemis II and we need some laughter,” another fan of the comedy panel show posted to X. “Why does Fox News always choose to not air Gutfeld and not anyone else. This is so wrong every time!”
Hosted by Greg Gutfeld, the late-night-styled 10 p.m. ET program tapes earlier in the evening, making it particularly vulnerable to being bumped when major developments unfold close to airtime. Historically, the network has sometimes held pre-taped episodes for broadcast the following night.
This Friday’s panel was comprised of Gutfeld plus Emily Compagno, Jim Norton, Hotep Jesus, and Johnny Joey Jones.
Update: LateNighter has confirmed that the pre-empted episode will air Monday, April 13.

I can understand pre-empting a show when the information is IMMEDIATE as compared to something that has been discussed frequently. Artemis II requires aa 30 second update
watched the return live just to see what I watched instead of Gutfeld At Anyone interested in the return watched it live WHY TALKING ABOUT (boring) is a plus it’s beyond logic

….it’s as though this “late night show” would have lesser chances of being pre-emptied if it weren’t airing on a NEWS NETWORK 🫤
That’s the double-edged sword when a non-news show pays the price for exposure by a news network; I never (nor ever will) watch this show but I’m sure whatever streaming service/web site FOX has its content on can just air their pre-empted eps/clips w/o interruption~
missed Greg Friday night sorry they kept him off but what happens in America is very important,been watching Greg since RED Eye I’m a 76 year old woman and I never miss his show so happy nothing was wrong with Greg
