Fox News Scraps Gutfeld! Taping Amid Iran War Coverage

Fox News Channel’s Gutfeld! will not air Monday night as the news network continues its live coverage of escalating developments in the war with Iran.

In a post on X Monday afternoon, the show announced: “Gutfeld! will not air tonight due to breaking news coverage of ‘Operation Epic Fury.’ For the latest, stay tuned to @FoxNews.”

Unlike other Gutfeld! preemptions in which a completed episode was later rescheduled, tonight’s decision was made prior to the show’s usual early-evening taping at Fox News’ New York studios, meaning the episode was scrapped entirely.

The announcement prompted immediate pushback from fans.

“Oh no!!!! We need at least one hour of laughing and entertainment!!! I vote to put Gutfeld on!!!” one viewer wrote on X.

“Another night off? What’s left to say? I’m getting ‘Operation Epic Fury’ fatigue and need a laugh and time away from the world, or be distracted by your show. (Subtle zinger intended),” posted another.

A third took aim at the network’s wall-to-wall coverage: “Bad decision @FoxNews … I really don’t need to see that drawing of Iran’s missile range for the 13,000th time since Saturday morning…”

Hosted by Greg Gutfeld, the late-night-styled 10 p.m. ET program tapes earlier in the evening, making it particularly vulnerable to being bumped when major developments unfold close to airtime. Historically, the network has sometimes held pre-taped episodes for broadcast the following night.

Fox News has yet to announce its plans for Tuesday night’s broadcast.

  8. David Anderson says:

I’m getting sick of Sean Hannity, he preempts the weekend and then preempts Gutfeld on Monday. Hannity is not the o ly journalist on Fox. Maybe I need to tune into CNN for change

    1. Jons Johnsin says:

Its not Sean. It is management that makes those decisions.

Hey! I paid for the subscription to FXNWS for the very reason to watch Gutfeld. I expect it to be broadcast at the regular time. I enjoy the show for the intelligent, thoughtful, and relevant topics and discussions.
I do not watch the other late night talk (lecturing) shows.

NOTHING, NO show ever pre-empted Johnny Carson’s “Tonight” show at the height of his power. NBC aired a Monday Night Football Game (Before ABC) and preempted Mr. Carson’s show…ONCE! lol

    Boo………

  20. Robert Colombo says:

i really need to hear the wise words of Kat and gain from her knowledge.

  21. B Lukes says:

Fox is becoming boring to watch. Ingraham is insufferable as a host, interrupting and talking over her guests with her opinions. And like I want to follow her on social media? Jesse is pretending to be smart by asking dumb repetitive questions and being a smart-ass. and on “big news” nights you two hours of the king of the pontification, Hannity, who repeats the previous 4 hours of news.
And while we’re at it, please replace that dimwit Jessica on the 5 with someone who does more than regurgitate her opinions from social media.

  22. Mary Anne Dinsmore says:

    Love Greg Gutfeld show

  23. Bryant Pfluger says:

What is wrong with you people at Fox who is making the decisions over there as stated by other viewers we don’t need to see video after video of something being blown up we’re a little smarter than that. Please put Gutfeld back on and stop your foolishness.

  24. Pamela J Walton says:

Fox News to get in touch with their viewers more. president Trump and his cabinet have this situation under control. the media on any channel can not add to it. we do not need wall to wall coverage. laughter is needed at a time like this. a sense of normalcy is needed at a time like this. when there is something new to report, break in, othewise the show should and must go on!
