Jimmy Kimmel seems to have an ear for flatulence. And now that he’s pointed it out, it’s hard not to hear ourselves.
On Thursday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night host showed a short clip of Donald Trump speaking at the Detroit Economic Club earlier in the day. “We have real problems,” Kimmel said before presenting the evidence. “Like the fact that the Republican nominee for president is letting gas on stage.”
In the video, Trump appears to audibly let out a fart in the middle of his speech.“Did you hear that?” Kimmel asked the audience expectantly of the apparent off-mic toot. “Listen closely.” He then played the clip again.
“That’s our Founding Farter right there,” Kimmel said, barely keeping it together himself as his audience laughed and hollered. “That’s our Mayor McCut-the-Cheese.”
Jimmy Kimmel digging up a clip of Donald Trump audibly farting onstage at a rally today pretty much sums up how things are going.

Kimmel and Trump have been engaged in a war of words for years now, with Kimmel never passing up an opportunity to dunk on the former president, and Trump often returning the volley.
“He suffers from TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME,” Trump wrote of Kimmel on Truth Social last weekend. “All of this on top of really bad ratings for Jimmy, just like failing Bill Maher and the two clowns on CBS and NBC! NO TALENT EQUALS BAD RATINGS!!!”
Kimmel—who responded in kind with a snarky Instagram post of his own—used part of his monologue this past Monday to fire back. “This is what [Trump] is stewing about on a Sunday afternoon 28 days before the election,” he said. “He’s still whining about a joke I made about him seven months ago. Not even the winners of the Oscars last year think about the Oscars as much as Donald Trump does.”
Trump has yet to respond to Kimmel’s “Old Gassolini” accusations, but it almost certainly won’t be the last time these two exchange fighting words. “The funniest part is: Trump thinks I don’t like this,” Kimmel told his audience on Monday. “I love this!”
