HBO Max has released the trailer for Season 3 of Conan O’Brien Must Go, offering the first extended look at O’Brien’s adventures in the Philippines, India, the Netherlands, and Morocco.
Among the clips, O’Brien steps in for a hotel bellhop in the Philippines, rides a bike through Amsterdam, and gets buried up to his neck in the hot sands of Morocco. The preview also finds him going all-in on a full Bollywood musical number in India, complete with backup dancers.
As we’ve reported, O’Brien’s trip to India had been years in the making. His team’s previous efforts to film there were complicated by a 2004 Late Night with Conan O’Brien remote that was shot without the proper permits. He finally returned to the country last November.
The Philippines episode will also feature O’Brien’s guest appearance as a medallion-stealing villain on the police drama Sanggang-Dikit FR, while his Netherlands visit included an unsuccessful attempt to become a male model during Amsterdam’s King’s Day celebration. Longtime assistant Sona Movsesian joined him for the season’s final shoot in Morocco.
Conan O’Brien Must Go has quietly become one of HBO Max’s prestige success stories. Its first two seasons earned four Emmy nominations and two wins: Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program in 2024 and Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special in 2025.
There’s no word yet on whether the series will return for a fourth season. O’Brien already has a full dance card: in addition to the travel show, he continues to oversee his Team Coco podcast empire and take on occasional film roles, including a prominent voice role as the potty-training toy Smarty Pants in this summer’s Toy Story 5.
He’s also set to host the Oscars for a third consecutive year when the ceremony returns March 14, 2027.
Conan O’Brien Must Go Season 3 will consist of four episodes, beginning with the India installment on August 21. New episodes will debut Fridays at 9:00 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max through September 11.
