Conan O’Brien has surfaced in the Netherlands, where he’s currently taping a new episode of Conan O’Brien Must Go.
The comedian was spotted celebrating King’s Day in Amsterdam Monday, and confirmed during a Tuesday appearance on Dutch talk show Eva that he’ll be spending the rest of the week in the country filming Season 3 of his Emmy-winning travel series.
“We showed up—my wife and I got here at six in the morning—and I went out on King’s Day,” O’Brien said. “Absolute madness. Day drinking—which I’m used to. That is my sport.”
O’Brien also discussed filming another segment that seems right in his wheelhouse: attempting to become a male model.
The setup appears to stem from a Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan episode featuring Maaike, a 6-foot-tall international fashion model from Amsterdam who appeared on the podcast in March 2025.
“One of my fans is a high-fashion model here in Amsterdam, and she said she could teach me how to be a male model,” O’Brien explained. “I showed up, I met with her, and she told me at the end, ‘This isn’t going to work.’ She was very disappointed in me.”
O’Brien noted that his HBO Max series is less interested in educating viewers about a country than putting him in absurd situations.
“We’ve all watched travel shows—they try to teach you about the country,” he joked. “I want you at the end of my program to know nothing about the country. I want you to maybe even be dumber than you were at the start of the show.”
O’Brien went on to share a few early observations about the Netherlands—including the country’s famously tall population and omnipresent bike culture.
“So many tall people,” he said. “I’ve met so many women that make me feel short.”
“And everyone’s on a bicycle, which I love,” he added. “In the United States, when you get on a bicycle, people dress up in these crazy outfits… Here you just see people riding their bikes in normal clothes.”
The Netherlands is the latest known stop for Season 3 of Conan O’Brien Must Go. O’Brien said he’ll remain in the country through the rest of the week.
“You’ll catch me in the wild,” he told viewers. “I’m very easy to spot.”
HBO Max has yet to announce a premiere date for Conan O’Brien Must Go‘s Season 3 return.

Welp, his “Beyond Borders” series on Israel/Palestine showed how dumb he is, nevermind his pod interview with his friend Mr Ramy Youssef — alright?
