Colin Jost Is Campaigning For a Grammy Award Nomination

Colin Jost is on his way to an EGOT—sort of. He’s only got four more awards to go. (Hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere.)

The SNLWeekend Update” co-anchor has kicked off a social media campaign that he hopes will help nab him a Grammy nomination this year. He’s eligible thanks to his role in the Audible Original Trust Fall. Jost stars alongside Wanda Sykes in the scripted comedy series, which was released last November.

Trust Fall is campaigning for a nomination in the Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording category.

“I’m currently a NOGOT because I no got a Grammy, Oscar, Emmy, or Tony,” Jost wrote. “But I’d say there’s a below 1 percent chance that’s about to change!”

While he may be a “NOGOT,” Jost does have a ton of Emmy nominations to his name. Since 2008, he has received 15 nods for his work writing on Saturday Night Live. (Alas, no wins.) And in 2020, Jost missed his shot at a Grammy nomination for the audiobook version of his memoir, A Very Punchable Face.

Trust Fall is produced by Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video and written by former SNL writer Claire Friedman. The project also features a handful of current and former SNL cast members, including Heidi Gardner, Cecily Strong, Rachel Dratch, Chris Parnell, and Jay Pharoah

Voting for Grammy nominees is currently open to members of The Recording Academy. Nominations will be announced November 8, and the 67th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held February 2, 2025.
