SNL’s Chloe Fineman Stars in Instacart Holiday Ad Campaign

Holiday stress is no joke, but pair up a Saturday Night Live star with Instacart and relief is on the way.

That’s the message behind a quirky new social media ad campaign in which Chloe Fineman describes how the delivery service can help this time of the year.

The first ad, released Thursday, opens with a grim music cue as Fineman laments, “Oh, December, you dark month of chaos.”

But Fineman’s setting quickly brightens in her holiday-decorated kitchen as she explains, “The holidays can be crazy, especially for hosts. But if there’s one thing I always say, it’s ‘you’ll be fine, man.'”

Taking a beat, she notes, “‘Fine man!’ That’s my last name!”

The SNL star adds that she’s teaming with Instacart throughout the season “to share some tips, tricks, and kitchenware.”

The ad closes with Fineman adding a comforting, “So honestly, you’ll be fine. Or not!” That’s followed with another haunting laugh, creepily echoing as an again anxious Fineman looks to camera with wild eyes and a grimace, playing to her signature talent for hilarious awkwardness.

There’s also a product available to commemorate this collab: the “Stress Baster,” which combines a turkey baster with a stress ball to help calm nerves during holiday meal prep.

It’s a real item that you’ll be able to pick up, for free. The Stress Baster will be offered starting Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. EST/6 a.m. PST via Instacart’s TikTok and Instagram, but only while supplies last. There are just 2,000 of the complimentary baster-balls set to be available.

“Instacart’s Yule Be Fine campaign featuring Chloe Fineman brings some much-needed comedic relief and encouragement to first-time hosts, reminding them that we’re all going to get through the holidays together,” Instacart’s Laura Jones, the company’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “We want first-time hosts to know that we’re here for them this holiday season and our limited-edition Stress Baster is a unique solution that combines practicality and stress relief, with a side of humor.”

The company teased that the campaign will include “everything from mantras and a pre-party pep talk to a DM hostline with Chloe.”

“This holiday season, I’m planning to spend time with my family and will be using Instacart to take some of the stress out of shopping,” Fineman said in a statement. “If there’s a few items I need here and there–everything from last-minute ingredients and beverages to storage containers for organizing and even the turkey roasting tray–I can use Instacart to get it all in as fast as an hour. I love being able to take some of the stress out of the holidays so my family and I can actually enjoy it.”

Instacart’s “Yule Be Fine” campaign is scheduled to run through Dec. 23.
