BTS is returning to NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a big way, for their first late-night TV appearance since December 2021.
In their first U.S. late-night appearance as a full group since completing their mandatory military service for South Korea, group members RM, Jin, SUGA, j‑hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will first visit The Tonight Show Wednesday March 25, sitting for an in-studio interview as well as performing a song.
BTS will also appear on The Tonight Show the following night, Thursday, March 26, to serve up a second musical performance.

The global supergroup’s two-night visit will follow the March 20 release of their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, and the March 21 Netflix premiere of their live performance special, BTS The Comeback Live | ARIRANG.
BTS’ rich history with The Tonight Show dates back to September 2018, when they performed their lead single, “Idol.” In February 2020, the Jimmy Fallon-hosted talker aired a top-secret performance by the group, staged at New York City’s Grand Central Terminal.
BTS last appeared on the NBC program in July 2021, during a-two-night “takeover” that amassed nearly 120 million digital views and featured performances of “Butter” (on the World Cup Bridge that spans the Han River in South Korea ) and “Permission to Dance.”
Group members Jimin, SUGA, Jung Kook, Jin, and j‑hope have each appeared individually on The Tonight Show since then.
BTS has also appeared/sometimes performed on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Late Late Show with James Corden (which hosted their most recent late-night hit, in December 2021).
In addition to the BTS interview and first performance, the March 25 episode of The Tonight Show will also feature guest Ariana DeBose (Prime Video’s Scarpetta). The following night, Chris Pratt and Charlie Day (of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie) will be Fallon’s guests.
