It’s official: Joe Biden is flying to New York today to take part in Seth Meyers’ 10th anniversary episode.
Biden’s appearance on the late-night show had been rumored late last week, but The White House has now confirmed the president’s appearance on the show.
It’s a big get for Meyers. Biden, whose age has become a central issue of the 2024 campaign, has avoided televised one-on-one interviews of late, even bowing out of the traditional pre-Super Bowl interview earlier this month.
Tonight’s sit-down won’t be Biden’s first appearance on the Meyers show — he’s appeared twice before, most recently in 2016.
As it happens, then-Vice President Biden was one of the very first guests to appear on Late Night With Seth Meyers, guesting alongside Amy Poehler on the show’s premiere episode February 24, 2014. Poehler is also returning for tonight’s 10th anniversary episode.
