Antenna TV and Johnny Carson‘s longtime bandleader Doc Severinsen are joining forces to honor the King of Late Night.
To mark what would have been Carson’s 100th birthday on October 23, the classic TV network will present “Johnny Carson’s 100th Birthday Party,” a week-long celebration airing October 20–25 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
For three decades, Carson reigned over The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, setting the template for generations to come.
Antenna TV will honor Carson with five of his most fondly remembered Tonight Show episodes, a lineup that captures the host’s wit, warmth, and signature mix of celebrity and spontaneity.
Each evening will also include fresh reflections from longtime bandleader Doc Severinsen, who shared Carson’s stage for decades. “Johnny was a master creator… the basis of his personality and his style was class. He was class personified,” said Severinsen.
The week-long tribute will feature some of his most memorable moments. Featured guests include Burt Reynolds, Robin Williams, Frank Sinatra, Don Rickles, Dean Martin, and Olivia Newton-John, among others—all appearing in full-length original episodes spanning the 1970s and ’80s.
