After Midnight Teases Haunted Doll Easter Egg

Taylor Tomlinson and the After Midnight team are making the most of spooky season.

The late-night comedy panel show took to social media Tuesday night to announce a special Halloween treat—and task—for fans. “The Haunted Doll is hiding all over our show this week,” the show wrote on its official Facebook and Instagram accounts, before challenging After Midnight viewers to track how many haunted dolls appear on screen this week. The chilling answer is set to be revealed Friday.

The haunted doll, which was originally a gift to Tomlinson from her brother, first appeared early on in Season 1 and has since become a recurring gag on the show. Despite the host’s best efforts to get rid of the darn thing, the doll has repeatedly “made its way back” to the studio.

After Midnight, a reboot of Comedy Central’s @midnight, premiered in January and is currently in its sophomore season. Season 2 brought on co-showrunner J.D. Amato—whose past credits include Magic for Humans, The President Show, Desus & Mero, The Chris Gethard Show, and The Problem with Jon Stewart—and introduced some major changes, including a new interview portion, and more political material ahead of the election.

After Midnight airs Monday through Friday at 12:37 a.m. ET on CBS. Episodes are also available to stream on Paramount+.
