Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show Could Get Its Own LEGO Set

Jimmy Fallon could be hosting The Tonight Show from your shelf one day, thanks to one enterprising fan with some serious LEGO skills.

A recreation of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon studio is vying to become an official LEGO set through via LEGO Ideas, the company’s official program that allows fans to submit concepts and rally support to have them turned into actual products.

If The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in LEGO form sounds familiar, it’s because the opposite once happened. In 2021, Fallon and Jerry Seinfeld celebrated Seinfeld’s successful LEGO Ideas set by transforming Fallon’s show into a scaled-up, life-size LEGO set.

The 429-piece set, created by user zonepress, includes the Studio 6B desk area that Fallon has called home since taking over the show in 2014. The concept features Fallon’s desk and mug, the guest chair and couch, and the wooden New York City skyline that serves as his backdrop. Rounding out the set are minifigures of Fallon and announcer Steve Higgins, whose podium is also depicted. The set is designed as a display piece with its own base, similar to other LEGO diorama sets.

If a LEGO Ideas project reaches 10,000 supporters, it becomes eligible for official review by the company. The Tonight Show set has already cleared its first milestone, attracting more than 300 supporters since being posted in late August.

Fallon’s studio is the latest late-night TV concept to make its way onto LEGO Ideas. Last year, two dueling attempts to depict Saturday Night Live’s home base were up for a vote—including one that had the involvement of SNL alum Bobby Moynihan. Neither progressed far enough to be taken under consideration by LEGO.

Should the Tonight Show set make it through the final stage, it would still have some hurdles to clear that are outside fans’ control. LEGO only promises to take qualifying ideas under consideration. And if the toymaker did want to make this one a reality, it would have to work out a licensing agreement with Fallon’s show.

There’s plenty of precedent. Previous LEGO Ideas projects that have made the leap to store shelves include not only Seinfeld, but The Office and multiple Friends sets. Fallon’s Tonight Show is also no stranger to merchandising. The show has lent its name to several Hasbro home games, including Box of Lies, Face It Challenge, and Best Friends Challenge.

And the fact that LEGO is allowing a Tonight Show concept on its Ideas site at all suggests the company is at least open to working with Fallon’s show. LEGO Ideas submissions must fall within the company’s searchable list of approved IP. (Saturday Night Live, for instance, was once actively restricted by LEGO, with the company citing it as “political.”)

Those who’d like to add Studio 6B to their LEGO collection can vote to make the project a reality at this link.
