The QVC host behind last week’s viral “blowout” slip is bringing the joke to The Tonight Show.
Toni Brattin, whose unfortunate choice of words during a live wig demonstration quickly made the rounds online, says she’s been invited to join Jimmy Fallon on Monday night’s show.
“I’m bringing it! Game on Jimmy…” Brattin wrote Sunday on Instagram, announcing the appearance.
Her website is also teasing the visit with a fitting warning: “Tune-In – You Never Know What Toni Might Say!”
Brattin’s moment began Wednesday on QVC, while she was demonstrating one of the wigs from her haircare line. Attempting to explain that it looked as though its wearer had just gotten a blowout at a salon, Brattin instead used a very different phrase.
“Again, it looks like you went and got a blow job at your…” she said, before catching herself and correcting it to “a blowout at your salon.”
The clip quickly began making the rounds, helped along by Brattin’s reaction. She started laughing and shaking her head while QVC host Terri Conn gamely attempted to continue the sales pitch. Eventually, Brattin sank to the floor as Conn tried to keep the segment moving.
As Brattin’s slip found its way across the web, QVC joined in on the joke, sharing the clip to Instagram with the caption, “Just checking in… how’s everyone else’s week going?” Conn also posted it, writing, “The show must go on. Love you, Toni Brattin.”
By Wednesday night, the blowout had blown all the way to The Tonight Show, where Fallon played the clip during his monologue and offered his own impression of Brattin.
She’s apparently enjoying the attention. In a subsequent interview with TMZ, Brattin praised Fallon’s imitation and offered him a little something from her product line.
“Jimmy, you were hilarious,” she said. “I happened to save one of those wigs just for Jimmy, and I would love to see what this wig would look like on Jimmy.”
“So, Jimmy, you just tell me when your birthday is, and I’ll hand-deliver this, and we’ll see how cute you look in it.”
She may not have to wait for his birthday.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether Brattin will appear as a formal guest Monday or drop in for a comedy bit. The episode is already set to include actors Kristen Stewart and Dominic Sessa, along with musical guest Ravyn Lenae.
Whatever form the appearance takes, Brattin’s “Game on Jimmy” suggests she may be coming prepared—and Fallon might want to make room for that wig.
