Taylor Tomlinson’s Debut Book Is Coming September 2026

Taylor Tomlinson has officially entered the “holding my own book and freaking out about it” stage of authorship.

Tomlinson revealed in an Instagram video post that her debut essay collection, Actually, Never Mind, will be released September 22, 2026.

“I wrote a book. I wrote a whole book,” Tomlinson told followers in the announcement video. “Can you believe it? I can’t.”

The former After Midnight host described the book as “a collection of essays about everything I’ve changed my mind about over the years,” adding that the list includes “marriage, sex, mental health, coming out, God.”

“It’s my thoughts and feelings on all of it,” she said. “I definitely over-shared. Trying not to think about that too hard or I’ll panic.”

The book was first announced in October 2024, when Tomlinson signed with Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. At the time, the publisher described Actually, Nevermind as Tomlinson’s literary debut, with the comic saying she hoped to explore “all the topics I’ve changed my mind about—both the serious and the ridiculous.”

In her new video, Tomlinson also confirms that she will read the audiobook herself. Signed copies are available through Barnes & Noble and Third Place Books, the latter of which she called “one of my favorite bookstores in the entire world.”

“I worked on some essays in here at that bookstore,” Tomlinson said, before pausing to take in the copy in her hands. “Sorry. I just got this and I’m freaking out that I’m holding it.”

“You can pre-order it now at the link in my bio, so please go do that,” Tomlinson said. “Or don’t, I don’t care. I wrote a book.”
