Two months after the South Carolina Senate honored Stephen Colbert ahead of his Late Show finale, Charleston has added its own hometown sendoff.
Variety’s Michael Schneider reports that Colbert’s unauthorized use of the Peanuts song in The Late Show’s finale did end up costing CBS money—but the licenseholder is donating the proceeds to José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen.
A truck filled with Colbert’s desk, chairs, and other set pieces made the day and-a-half long trip to Chicago’s Museum of Broadcast Communications, where they’ll become the centerpiece of a growing late-night TV collection.
