The TV Academy will announce its nominees for outstanding variety series and outstanding reality series on Today between 4:45am and 5:20am PT Wednesday morning, nearly three hours before the rest of this year’s Emmy nominations.
As Peter White reports for Deadline, the nominees in two categories—Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Reality Competition—will be revealed live on CBS at 7:47am ET Tuesday, four hours earlier than the Emmy nominations writ large.
O’Brien is one of six new inductees set to be enshrined by the TV Academy at this year’s Televerse Festival in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, August 16.
