Who says you can’t go home again? In her first promo for this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, Kristen Wiig is seen taking it all in as she roams the halls outside Studio 8H.
“The best part about being home? Returning to your old childhood bedroom–or in my case, dressing room” the former cast member says in voice over. “Lorne promised they’d always leave it just the way I left it.”
Needlesstosay, she’s in for an unpleasant surprise when she opens the door to find her old dressing room has become a disheveled mess of a man cave for featured players Devon Walker and Michael Longfellow, who are seen playing a video game.
“Oh hey Kristine,” says Longfellow. “Lorne said we could have your old room.”
“I’m just going to take my things,” Wiig responds, grabbing a file box with Gilly wig on top.
“Oh, thank you — she took the trash out,” says Walker. “Kristine, thank you for that!”
Wiig, who spent seven seasons as a Saturday Night Live cast member from 2005-2012, will enter the “Five-Timers Club” when she hosts the show this weekend alongside musical guest British pop singer RAYE.
Wiig is currently starring in the new Apple TV+ series Palm Royale. And as we first reported yesterday, she’s also reprising The Target Lady, one of the characters she made famous on SNL, in a series of actual commercials for the discount retailer.
