Like many jobseekers, Trevor Noah has lined up his next gig thanks to job search site Indeed—albeit in a different way.
The former Daily Show host will headline Indeed’s annual FutureWorks conference next month, the job search platform has announced.
The two-day conference, which is devoted to discussing “the rapidly evolving landscape of work,” kicks off on September 25 in Dallas, and will also stream virtually. Noah’s appearance will take place on Thursday, September 26.
The conference is open to “HR practitioners, talent acquisition professionals, recruiters, executives, and anyone involved in hiring.”
Noah will sit down for a conversation with LaFawn Davis, Indeed’s Chief People and Sustainability Officer. “Noah will offer his take on equity in hiring, finding levity in times of complexity and uncertainty—and how better work leads to better lives,” according to the FutureWorks website.
Beyond Noah’s conversation, FutureWorks 2024 will feature “celebrity speakers, business leaders, and Indeed executives as they share unique perspectives and insights on topics from AI’s impact on hiring to uncovering talent at scale to work wellbeing,” Indeed said in a press release.
Also on the lineup is Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI—whom Noah has interviewed before. In fact, that interview was one of the Q&As cited by the New York Post as a potential conflict of interest for Noah. (Noah has a professional relationship with Microsoft, which owns a 49 percent stake in OpenAI.)
Registration for Indeed FutureWorks—both virtual and in-person—is open now.
