The Daily Show Plans Week-Long Look at Trump’s ‘Second First 100 Days’

It’ll be all hands on deck this week at The Daily Show, with Jon Stewart and three of the show’s senior correspondents each taking turns behind the desk as the show marks the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s second term.

The Daily Show Presents: President Trump’s Second First 100 Days: An Incredible 100 Days With Zero Disturbance kicks off tonight with the show’s usual Monday night host Jon Stewart setting the tone for the week with his guest economist and author Chris Hughes, promoting his new book, Marketcrafters: The 100-Year Struggle to Shape the American Economy.

From there, the show wil break from its usual format, with Jordan Klepper, Desi Lydic, and Michael Kosta each hosting single nights of the show this week.

Klepper will be first on Tuesday, when he’ll welcome Katherine Maher, president & CEO of NPR, who will no doubt speak to the Trump administration’s stated intent to cut all goverment funding from public broadcasting.

Desi Lydic will host on Wednesday, when she’s scheduled to speak with presidential historian Jon Meacham,.

Michael Kosta will wrap up the week with a sit-down with a rising star in the Democratic Party, centerist Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich).  Slotkin delivered the Democrats’ response to President Donald Trump’s joint address to Congress last month, for which she was well-received. She’ll be making her Daily Show debut.

The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. The show streams the next day on Paramount+.
