Saturday Night Live’s March 2024 hosts include a rookie and a third-timer.
The show announced on Tuesday that Sydney Sweeney will make her SNL hosting debut on March 2, joined by musical guest Kacey Musgraves.
Sweeney became a household name after starring in HBO series Euphoria, and Season 1 of The White Lotus, and has since starred in films such as the romcom Anyone But You and the Spider-verse film Madame Web. She has a new film, Immaculate, opening in theaters on March 22.
Josh Brolin will host SNL for the third time on March 9. He’ll be joined by musical guest Ariana Grande.
Brolin is known for his roles in No Country for Old Men, Milk, and the Avengers films, and he’ll reprise the role of Gurney Halleck in Dune: Part Two, scheduled to open in theaters on March 1.
Sweeney and Brolin follow Shane Gillis, the firebrand standup comedian who’s scheduled to make his Saturday Night Live hosting debut this week. Gillis was hired as a cast member on the show in 2019, but was promptly dismissed after footage of him making racist, sexist and homophobic remarks on his own podcast in 2018 was uncovered.
Gillis will be joined this weekend by musical guest 21 Savage.
