We don’t yet know who People magazine will name 2024’s Sexiest Man Alive, but we do know which late-night host will make the big reveal.
CBS announced Friday that Stephen Colbert will reveal and interview this year’s cover star on The Late Show this coming Tuesday, November 12th.
This won’t be Colbert’s first time teaming up with People on its annual issue. Ahead of being named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man of 2021, Paul Rudd memorably participated in an extended comedy bit that saw the actor submit himself to a series of debasing tests to earn the title. A year later, Colbert bestowed the honor on Chris Evans with the help of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Currently reigning Sexiest Man Patrick Dempsey was revealed last year by Jimmy Kimmel. (Kimmel also revealed Michael B. Jordan in 2020, David Beckham in 2015 and Chris Hemsworth in 2014.)
Jimmy Fallon has also had the honor, unveiling Idris Elba in 2018.
2024 will be the 39th year People has named a Sexiest Man Alive. The magazine has granted the title every year since 1985 except for 1994 (in 2015, the magazine retroactively named Keanu Reeves its 1994 winner).
While we don’t yet know this year’s top dog, People released the results of its “Sexiest Man Readers Choice” poll last week. Among the winners were Harry Styles (Sexiest Musician), Jeremy Allen White (Sexiest Tattoos) and Mark Consuelos (who beat out Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and Mario Lopez for Sexiest Talk Show Host).
